MORE movie awesomeness

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 19, 2008, 11:47 AM
  • Mood: Eager
  • Watching: Avatar - the boiling rock
So yeah, I know it seems like I do nothing with my spare time but watch movies. But that's not the case, I swear!

So first up is Kung Fu Panda - It was really funny, but I'd suggest renting it. It's not one of those "must see in BIGNESS" movies. But the animation was great - especially the beginning sequence, those who've seen it know what I'm talking about! The story was funny too, very fantastical, but pretty sound. Po is made of win.

Then the day after I saw WALL-E. Actually my entire class went to see it, we were sitting in 2D animation II and after the lecture, rather than use our work period we asked our teacher if we could go see the movie. Everyone (teacher included, though a few people didn't end up coming in the end) hopped into various vehicles went to metrotown for it. The movie itself was wonderful. The parts on earth with WALL-E were so realistic looking, especially closeups on his face or his hands. And wow. Just wooooooow! Made me feel a bit bleak about our situation on earth, though. But the movie had a strong message that made for a good story.
On a related note, people like this make me mad: [link]

Oh yeah, and a few weeks back I saw The Hulk. In my opinion it was every bit as good as Iron man and Edward Norton was brilliant.

Last, but certainly not least, I went to an 11:00 showing of the Dark Knight last night. All I can say is, WOW.

So yeah, I've pretty much loved every movie I've seen in the last two months.
